Third Keynote Speaker Joins the Lineup for NZ25

We’re thrilled to announce that Joel Cesare will join the 2025 Net Zero Conference as our third keynote speaker! In an engaging interview-style session, Joel will be interviewed by Sherrell Dorsey, exploring bold ideas for advancing sustainability innovation.

Joel Cesare is a trailblazer in real estate and sustainability. As Growth Lead at Cambio, he brings an action-focused, ROI-driven approach to decarbonizing buildings at scale using AI. From 2021–2024, he led Google’s net zero real estate program, helping shape the roadmap to decarbonize thousands of office buildings worldwide. His cross-sector career spans tech, development, consulting, government, and non-profits, and his work has been recognized by the Living Future Institute, ENR Magazine, USGBC-CA, and Building Design + Construction. He also co-hosts the podcast Less Talk, More Action.

Sherrell Dorsey is an award-winning data journalist, entrepreneur, speaker, and author who covers climate tech, sustainability investing, and the future of work. She founded The Plug, which syndicated on the Bloomberg Terminal and was acquired by ImpactAlpha in 2023. Sherrell hosts the TED Tech podcast, writes the “Power Up” column for Inc. Magazine, authored Upper Hand: The Future of Work for the Rest of Us (Wiley, 2021), and has spoken at organizations including Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. She holds a Master’s in data journalism from Columbia University and was named Black Enterprise’s 40 Under 40 in 2025.
