As CMTA’s National Director of Sustainable Projects, Tony Hans works with architects and owners to make good projects great. He has worked on over one million square feet of zero energy projects, including Richardsville Elementary School, the first Zero Energy Public School in the United States and Discovery Elementary, an AIA COTE Top Ten Award Winner. Hans sits on the ASHRAE Advanced Energy Design Guideline Committee for Zero Energy Office Buildings and has spoken at many national conferences including Greenbuild 2012, 2015, and 2018, the Net Zero Energy Conference, the Getting to Zero National Forum, and many others.
Hans joined CMTA’s Louisville office as a Project Manager and an Electrical Engineer in 1997 and became a partner in 2003. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Speed Engineering School with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Engineering degree. He is a licensed professional engineer in over 48 states including Puerto Rico, Canada, and Hawaii.
