Since joining Michael Maltzan Architecture in 1997, Managing Principal Tim Williams has supervised the development of the firm’s most complex and innovative design projects including the Sixth Street Viaduct, the Winnipeg Art Gallery Inuit Art Center, and the MIT Vassar Street Residence Hall. He has more than thirty years of experience and an unparalleled dedication to balancing project definition, resource management, and risk mitigation.
His commitment to sustainability and construction innovation is evident in all his projects, most notably Star Apartments that utilized prefabricated modular construction and Crest Apartments, both LEED Platinum for Homes permanent supportive housing projects completed with the Skid Row Housing Trust. Tim attended Pierce Community College before receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles.
