A Los Angeles native, Steve Delgado is a mission-driven executive who currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at Homeboy Industries. Steve oversees development, marketing and communications, media relations and the Global Homeboy Network for the internationally recognized gang prevention, rehab and reentry non-profit organization. Prior to working at Homeboy Industries, Steve spent eight years at Whittier College, most recently serving as Vice President for Advancement. During his tenure at the College, he led Whittier to all-time fundraising highs and oversaw the largest single project campaign in the College’s history. Steve also led the College’s marketing, communications and external relations teams, launching a re-branding initiative and building a global network of donors and volunteers to significantly broaden Whittier’s reach. Steve followed a calling to dedicate his professional life to the service of others in Los Angeles, after success as an entrepreneur and executive in the publishing and retail industries, serving as president of a privately-held newspaper and magazine publisher, and senior manager at a Fortune 1,000 retailer.
Steve earned his M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania
