Storytelling has been the through line of Michelle’s career. Beginning in film development at Sony-based and Warner Bros.-based production companies, Michelle loved strategizing on how to make a film compelling to more audiences, to strengthen the various characters’ voices and to provoke a dialogue.

When Michelle transitioned from film development to public relations, it was because of her desire to tell stories on behalf of brands – ones that inherently lend themselves to it like Tourism Australia and Travel Nevada, and ones that are a bit harder including St. John Knits and CB2. But Michelle has found that much like every person has a story to tell, so does every brand.

Michelle spent more than a decade at the helm of national and international communications firms including Senior Vice President at FleishmanHillard, Managing Director at Burson-Marsteller and Executive Vice President at HL Group, charting a course forward for her clients and her team.

In 2019, Michelle joined The Giving Keys, a social impact jewelry and accessories brand, as COO and CMO. The company – which focuses on ending homelessness through employment – has a production team comprised of people who have recently or are in the process of transitioning out of homelessness, providing TGK and its customers with deeply rooted connection points illuminated through the journey of the keys.

A frequent guest lecturer, Michelle recently served as co-instructor for a UCLA Extension course on Influencer Marketing. She is a member of the executive team for the professional women’s group, the xx project.
