The William J. Worthen Foundation
Kyle serves as the Acting Executive Director for the William J. Worthen Foundation, which he co-founded with the late Bill Worthen, FAIA, LEED Fellow to advance accessible AEC professional education and climate positive development. He led the fundraising efforts for the Design Professional’s Guide to Onsite Water Use and Reuse – a free professional education resource, outlining real world examples and step by step design, construction and technical information needed for water use systems of all types and sizes at the building and district scale. Kyle also led the fundraising efforts for the soon to be published Design Professional’s Guide to Building Decarbonization (June 2021). The Foundation, under Kyle’s leadership, is transitioning to a become a powerhouse offering professional education through practice guides, special events, and collaborations.
Additionally, Kyle was Urban Fabrick, Inc’s co-founder and chief operations officer responsible for client relations, staffing, and office operations until its closure in 2021. He led the company’s efforts in building community, trust, and training that enhances the team’s ability to collaborate.
Kyle’s interests include using the insights of nature to inform building decisions, through biomimicry and biophilic design.
