Senior Architecture Undergraduate Student
Currently going into my senior year of undergrad at Miami University, architecture has become vital to my life beyond anything I ever imagined. Growing up in Cincinnati Ohio provided me with a straightforward, public education where I never truly understood my creative and architectural potential. These last three years have enabled me to creatively problem solve in a way that was for the most part, blocked during my time in school before higher education. This last spring, my team from Miami University won the grand jury prize for the residential division at the Solar Decathlon competition. Being my biggest achievement so far, this project represents my beliefs on creating architecture that speaks to its surroundings and landscapes. The ethos and culture of the built environment and natural landscape surrounding a project becomes of utmost importance and ultimate signifier in the design process.
