Tania Anders

As the Sustainability Coordinator for Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC), Tania is excited to lead the way supporting faculty with embedding sustainability into their curriculum. She regularly offers faculty professional development opportunities and has the dream of seeing sustainability taught across all divisions and disciplines of the campus. Her hope is that Mt. SAC will be able to offer a Sustainability Program for students in the near future.
Tania has shown a professional interest in our planet’s past, present, and future for over 25 years. For her graduate studies she researched isotopic signals of marine micro-organisms and the stories they tell about climate change on Earth. Like many others, in her lifetime she has observed changes on our planet. Population numbers have more than doubled. She has seen the ice coverage over Greenland shrink from both above and on the ground. Through education she helps increasing awareness for a sustainable future and hopes that Earth will remain a wonderful home for many generations to come.
