Sima Thakkar is the Senior Vice President of Community Innovations at RDF, where she works to harness the power of capital to help to serve community-based partners that are building inclusive, equitable, and resilient communities. She leads RDF’s initiatives to strengthen and grow essential community infrastructure while advancing strategies for equity and resiliency. Sima has over two decades of experience in community development working on programs focused on affordable housing and economic development programs in Phoenix, San Diego and Nashville. She is an Urban Planner with a Master of Regional Planning degree from Cornell University and B.A. in Urban Planning and Public Administration from Miami University. She is also a proud 2024 Fulcrum Fellow.
