Samira is a senior sustainability consultant and Carbon Impact Team US Mountain regional lead. She is committed to advancing integrated sustainable design by setting and meeting ambitious sustainability targets within the design and analysis of high-performance and net zero energy buildings. For over 13 years, Samira has collaborated on projects throughout North America and across the globe, providing creative solutions for energy and carbon reduction. She helps clients create carbon neutral, energy-efficient, and healthy indoor environments. Samira’s deep care for building occupants and passion for expanding the boundaries of sustainability and decarbonization inspires her working knowledge of efficient and renewable clean energy strategies. She specializes in the optimization of the energy performance of buildings using whole-building energy modelling, verification of energy codes and standards, net zero energy, and performance evaluation against green building rating systems. Samira advises multi-disciplinary project teams from inception to successful execution. Samira holds a Bachelor of Architecture Engineering and a Master of Building Science. Additionally, Samira is accredited as ASHRAE’s Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), AEE Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), USGBC’s sustainability accreditation–LEED AP, and the Center for Active Design Fitwel Ambassador.
