Rachel Patterson
University Engineer, California State University, Office of the Chancellor
Rachel Patterson is the University Engineer for the California State University Chancellor’s Office, where she supports the systemwide capital program, energy efficiency initiatives, building decarbonization, and climate resilience programs across the CSU’s 22 campuses. With nearly a decade of experience in energy engineering and sustainable building design, her work has included advancing campus infrastructure planning, improving data collection and feedback loops, translating technical information for a broader audience, and supporting code and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining the CSU Chancellor’s Office, she worked in energy efficiency consulting roles. Rachel is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and a Licensed Mechanical Engineer in the State of California.
