Pablo La Roche Ph.D. LEED AP BD+C is a Principal & Global Director Sustainable Design Services at ARCADIS where he leads the Architecture and Urbanism division’s sustainability initiatives and works on projects worldwide. He is also a tenured Professor of Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona where he was also interim director of the Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies. Pablo has a Ph.D. from UCLA and has authored over 150 technical papers and books, including three editions of his book “Carbon Neutral Architectural Design”. He speaks in events worldwide and has reviewed articles in conferences and journals, juried architecture awards for the AIA, and chaired the Passive Low Energy Architecture 2016 conference in Los Angeles. He was president of the Society of Building Science Educators, and his awards include a Fulbright, a Chancellors Scholarship from UCLA, the USGBC IMPACT Award, the NCARB Grand Prize representing the Department of Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona, finalist in the 2016 Biennale Land Art Generator Initiative design competition, and with CRTKL an AIA LA NextLA 2021 citation award for terminal II at Guadalajara airport. His students have also received many awards in architecture competitions, including the COTE Top Ten for Students.
