Nisha Thirumurthy is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Vybe Energy, an energy technology company developing AI-driven optimization solutions for commercial buildings and energy systems. She brings nearly 30 years of experience spanning climate technology, advanced energy systems, energy finance, infrastructure, and public policy. Nisha has a proven track record of translating complex energy technologies into scalable solutions, with expertise in energy optimization, distributed energy resources, techno-economic modeling, and technology commercialization.
As Founder and CEO of Vybe Energy, she leads the development of next-generation energy optimization platforms that combine machine learning, adaptive controls, and predictive analytics to reduce energy consumption, operating costs, and carbon emissions. Her work focuses on applying advanced optimization techniques across building systems, distributed energy resources, and grid-edge infrastructure. Vybe Energy has been recognized by leading energy and climate innovation programs including USGBC Net Zero Accelerator, EPRI Incubatenergy Labs, NREL's Technical Assistance Program, Cleantech Open, and Dartmouth's Greenshot Climate Accelerator.
Prior to founding Vybe Energy, Nisha served as Senior Project Leader at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where she led multimillion-dollar programs supporting the deployment of advanced energy technologies across the Department of Defense and federal agencies. She also served as Director of Transportation for the Clinton Climate Initiative, leading international programs accelerating adoption of advanced transportation technologies, and as a Senior Consultant in Deloitte's Energy Practice advising utilities and energy companies on strategy, forecasting, and operational optimization.
