Lauren Greenberg is a full-time professor at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC), where she teaches American Sign Language (ASL) and Sign Language Interpreting. She earned her Master of Arts in Interpreting Studies and Communication Equity from St. Catherine University. Recently, she has expanded her role by becoming the college's second Sustainability Coordinator. In this new position, Lauren focuses on integrating the three pillars of sustainability; planet, people, and prosperity into the campus community. She is particularly passionate about the people and social justice aspects, working to ensure that sustainability initiatives promote inclusivity and benefit underserved populations. Lauren’s efforts include incorporating eco-conscious practices into the Sign Language Interpreting curriculum and empowering students and faculty to embrace sustainable behaviors. She also leads LEAF courses, designed to teach other faculty members how to embed sustainability into their curricula campus-wide. Additionally, Lauren is mentoring student interns, fostering leadership in sustainability and social justice.
