Kristen Salinas

Kristen Salinas has 15 years of experience providing guidance and recommendations on how to integrate sustainable design into new buildings. Using green and healthy building rating systems, Kristen seeks high levels of certification for complex buildings, campuses, and civil projects. Her background in civil engineering provides a comprehensive understanding of site planning, energy/water systems, and optimizing embodied carbon in structural materials. Additionally, Kristen has worked extensively with utilities in Southern California supporting Title 24, Part 6 (energy code) compliance improvement programs. She is also involved in providing education and outreach support for locally adopted reach codes, with the goal to further reduce energy use in buildings across California. Kristen is proud to have provided sustainability construction support for the IQHQ RaDD project. Along with Turner Construction, she is managing the construction tracking for 5 simultaneous LEED certifications. As a native San Diegan, she is delighted to be part of a sustainability-conscious project that will breathe new life into our city’s waterfront.
