Kristen N. Taddonio is Director of Climate Control at the Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development (IGSD), specializing in energy efficiency and refrigerant emission mitigation pathways for compliance with the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, which requires Parties to phase down the production and consumption of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). Prior to joining IGSD, Taddonio led commercial building technology research and deployment efforts at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Building Technologies Office and managed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Mobile Air Conditioning Climate Protection Partnership. She is a member of SAE International (formerly the Society of Automotive Engineers), where she serves as a liaison to the Interior Climate Control committee, and is the current building energy efficiency representative on the State of Colorado’s Energy Code Board.
