Kimberly Lau, earned her degree from the University of California, Irvine in 1996 and went on to build a two-decade career in wealth management. As Partner and Co-CEO of Summit Financial Consultants, she shaped and led the business vision and strategy that drove the firm's growth. In 2024, her path took a new direction. A single mom of two boys who outgrew their clothes faster than she could buy them, Kim couldn't unsee what was right in front of her — kids cycling through fast fashion while perfectly good clothes filled landfills. She became a Mom on a Mission, and Project ReWear was born: a values-driven movement expressed through a circular fashion business, rescuing textiles before they reach landfill and making secondhand shopping second nature for everyone. Kim believes real change in fashion starts with the consumer — that every donation, every purchase, and every conversation moves the needle. She lives in Thousand Oaks with her two sons.
