Kate Diamond, FAIA, LEED AP is a Design Director with HDR. She brings a breadth of experience for translating the aspirations of a diversity of clients at all levels of government, education, development, an urban design into award-winning projects. She believes passionately in the power of design to help clients address the triple bottom line of social, economic, an environmental responsibility while meeting requirements of their mission. The Environmental Justice Center at the Puente Hills Landfill Park exemplifies Kate’s commitment to delivering architecture that addresses both equity and sustainability. Other recent projects on target to achieve NZE, LEED Gold, Embodied Carbon Reduction of 50%+ include the Orange County Sanitation District HQ (offered as one of the tours for this conference), the mass timber Mountain Bus Downtown Connector currently under construction, and multiple products for LADWP. Beyond her deep experience helping teams deliver beautiful, high-performance projects moving us towards a regenerative future, Kate is a board member with USGBC-LA, active on the AIA-LA COTE, continues her service as a Design Excellence Peer for GSA, and guest lectures at USC.
