As Director of Sustainability at Mt. SAC, Eera is on a mission to decrease the College’s carbon footprint, with a larger goal of getting zero by 2050 through the implementation the College’s Climate Action Plan. She works across the campus with faculty, staff and students to implement meaningful sustainability measures. She is currently engaged in implementing a campus-wide organics collection program, identifying incentives for the addition of more electric vehicle charging stations on the north side of campus, and initiating a decarbonization plan so that the college can come off of its reliance on fossil fuels. She is also co-chair of the U.S. Green Building Council Inland Empire, where she facilitates sustainability workshops for schools, and a Board Member of the Designing Futures Foundation, where she seeks to support community projects with a sustainable focus.
