Dan Burgoyne

Sustainability Manager, California’s Department of General Services

Dan Burgoyne is the Sustainability Manager for California’s Department of General Services (DGS). He is a California-licensed architect and LEED Fellow, with over 36 years of experience in the design and construction industry, including 22 years developing and leading implementation of California policies and executive orders in energy, green building, zero net energy, decarbonization, and climate change adaptation and resiliency for state facilities.

Dan chairs California’s Sustainable Building Working Group leading 35 state agencies implementing state laws and policies and served as an advisor to California’s Green Building Code (CALGreen), GSA, and California’s High-Speed Rail Authority. Dan has served on the Board of Directors of the USGBC, and other committees, and as an instructor for the UC Davis Extension.
