Brodie Bain

Principal, NAC Architecture
Brodie Bain is a registered architect and certified planner with over 30 years of experience, almost exclusively in higher education. Brodie’s main focus is helping institutions to achieve their mission through a supportive physical environment. When it comes to facility decisions this requires thinking strategically about actions and priorities within the context of an institution’s and a campus’ long-term vision. Her comprehensive understanding of colleges and universities through work in campus planning, programming, utilization studies, site planning, pre-designs and design for the full range of campus building types affords a comparative perspective that is invaluable to clients. Brodie’s approach stems from a passion for listening to users and translating their needs into workable space within the context of physical opportunities and operational constraints. Her master plans include physical solutions that weave open space, connections and context with building function, placement and image. Most recently Brodie has endeavored to support social equity through physical campus solutions and has developed multiple sustainable master plans.
