New NZ23 Keynote Speakers Announced!

By: Ry Cabote, Verdical Group
Excited to hear from our first two Keynote Speakers, Panama and Alex? There’s certainly more where that came from. Our next two Keynote Speakers are nothing short of incredible; we’re pleased to share that we’ll be joined by the co-founders of Intersectional Environmentalist, Diandra Marizet Esparza and Kiana Kazemi!
Diandra Marizet Esparza is an organizational development strategist, environmental justice leader, published writer, poet and speaker whose work recognizes culture as an expression of our relationship to land, and advocates for the accessibility of diverse stories available to rising generations. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Intersectional Environmentalist and is a contributing writer in the academically adopted book The Intersectional Environmentalist: How to Dismantle Systems of Oppression to Protect People + Planet. Diandra has been honored as a 2021 Renaissance Awards Awardee, Green Carpet Fashion Award Honoree and is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
Kiana Kazemi is a multi-hyphenated environmentalist and data scientist whose work focuses on democratizing access to environmental justice resources and solutions. She is the co-founder and programming director of the non-profit Intersectional Environmentalist, where she has developed projects and resources that have reached millions of community members: most notably, she co-created Earth Sessions, a series of climate justice concerts that center climate optimism.
