What should I expect from the virtual Net Zero Conference?
The virtual Net Zero Conference is not your typical Zoom event. Our goal in selecting a virtual platform was to mimic the energy at the annual Net Zero Conference as closely as possible, and we strongly believe that our best-in-class platform goes above and beyond to inspire communication, providing attendees with opportunities to engage and ask questions during sessions, tours, and networking events as well as in the virtual Expo Hall.
This two-day event hosted on September 15 + 16, 2020 will feature exciting keynotes, cutting-edge educational panels, and workshops from innovative leaders in sustainability like the International Living Future Institute and the US Green Building Council. Hosting an interactive online experience allows us to provide more content to more sustainability pros at a lower cost.
How do I access sessions during the event?
The day before the event, you will receive an email with direct access into the virtual event platform. The invitation should come from Net Zero Conference (firstname.lastname@example.org) . Please check your inbox and spam folders before reaching out to our team to request access.
Where can I find the schedule for the event?
The Net Zero Conference will be presented over two days, September 15 and September 16. A full overview of the event offerings can be found on our Program page.
My audio is not working for the event. How can I fix it?
A couple of options to troubleshoot your audio:
1) Click on "Audio Setting" in the bottom left of the video screen to switch between your computer audio and dialing in from your phone.
2) Click out of the session and then back in.
3) Under the video screen, there is a link to "use the Zoom app instead" -- this will open a pop-out version of the meeting in the Zoom application.
If these options aren't solving your issue, please use the Support menu on the top right corner of the Pathable menu.
I'm experiencing other technical issues during the event. What do I do?
The fastest way to get help during the event is to use the Support menu in the top right of the Pathable website. From here, you can send a message to our "onsite" technical support team, request more information via the email contact form, and watch out How-To video for the platform.
Will I be able to earn CEUs for attending the virtual event?
Yes. Attendees will be provided with detailed instructions to self-report their hours for the Net Zero Conference. Our virtual platform allows us to track session registration and attendance -- if you would like to request a certificate after the event, please contact us at email@example.com. Our attendees typically self-report to USGBC, AIA, and ILFI.
Is there anything I need to do in advance of the event?
One week before the conference, we will send an access link so that you may begin setting up your user profile and building out your schedule. You will not need to download any software to attend the Net Zero Conference virtually.
What should I do if I'm experiencing technical issues during the event?
We will be providing a short orientation video at the beginning of the event to reduce any technical issues attendees might experience, as well as specialized training for sponsors and speakers. Training information will be recorded and available on-demand after the fact. We will also have “on-site” technical assistance available to attendees, sponsors, and speakers. If you’re experiencing an issue, the fastest way to get help is to click on the “Support” button on the right side of the screen and submit a request.

What are the new pricing tiers for the Net Zero Conference?
Understanding that it is essential to share tools and opportunities with our green building community during this time, access to the Expo Hall and Green Jobs Fair will be offered free of charge this year.
For those wishing to attend Keynote addresses, educational sessions, and virtual building tours, the best option is the 2-Day Pass, which we are offering for a discounted rate of $99 (Register before July 15 to receive Early Bird Pricing of $75!).
Partner workshops are ticketed a la carte and may be added to your ticket during checkout. Individual webinars from the Net Zero Webinar series may also be added to a la carte.
If you would like to attend the Net Zero Webinar series in addition, the best option for you is a Full Access Pass. Priced at $150, this ticket includes automatic registration for every webinar in the series. (Register before July 15 to receive Early Bird pricing of $100.)
Does the Full-Access Pass include admission to partner workshops?
The Full Access Pass does not include admission to workshops presented by our partners, including those hosted by the International Living Future Institute and the US Green Building Council. Attendees must register for workshops and webinars separately. These sessions can be added a la carte at registration checkout.

How does the virtual Expo Hall work?
Our virtual Expo Hall lets attendees get that real, in-person tradeshow feel. Attendees can navigate to sponsor “booths” by clicking on their logo where it is displayed on the Expo Hall portion of the platform. From there, they can download materials, watch an intro-video, and connect with representatives through real-time video chat by simply "entering" their virtual tradeshow booth -- launching them into a live video conversation.
Real-time insights offer sponsors a view of which attendees visited their booth, as well as how many times they visited. Exhibit booth staff can react instantly by reaching out to those visitors to connect.
What do I need to do to "set up" my booth in advance of the event?
Within a month of the conference date, we will send instructions to log into the platform and customize your Expo Booth prior to the event.
Virtual booths can be customized by adding your company’s logo, description, keywords, documents, and video.
What is the Speaker Submission Process / Abstract Review Timeline?
The deadline to submit an abstract was 11:59 pm (PST) on Friday, April 10th, 2020. All abstracts were evaluated by an Abstract Review Committee to select the highest quality educational content. The Committee was composed of nationally leading subject-matter experts in climate, carbon, energy, water, waste, transit, policy, manufacturing, engineering, architecture, utilities, government, and sustainable design.
Do speakers attend the conference for free?
Yes, NZ20 speakers receive a free admission to the Net Zero Conference. Speakers will need to register themselves using the discount code provided to you via email. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you cannot find your discount code.

What is the Net Zero Webinar Series?
The Net Zero Webinar Series is an ongoing platform for you to expand your knowledge of innovations and trends in climate, carbon, energy, water, waste, and transit. Each year, we receive more quality abstract submissions than we're able to fit into our main program. The Net Zero Webinar series allows us to highlight educational content that drills down on a particular topic or theme throughout the year.
Do I need to register for the Net Zero Conference to register for a Net Zero Webinar?
While we recommend using the Net Zero Webinar series to enhance your virtual Net Zero Conference experience, you are not required to register for the event in order to attend the webinars. When completing your Registration, simply skip through the section dedicated to the main event.
