Sofia Siegel is a Project Manager at Verdical Group, responsible for project management on LEED and Living Building Challenge projects, and managerial support on event planning. After completing a B.A. in Environmental Studies and English, Sofia began her professional career in environmental advocacy at Ceres, a Boston-based non-profit focused on driving the Green Economy. There, she focused on Development, both with individual donors and family foundations.
At Verdical Group, Sofia manages commercial and residential building projects, advising on LEED, Living Building Challenge, and sustainability to help teams pursue their certification and efficiency goals. She has worked with high profile clients including: Seagate, Hogan Lovells, Teknion, Johnson & Johnson, California Department of State Hospitals, and the County of Madera. Additionally, she planned three successful conferences for Verdical Group since August 2015, and has helped grow the Verdical Group Net Zero Conference to the largest Net Zero Conference in the United States.
Sofia holds ENV SP and LEED AP BD+C credentials and is the Co-Chair of the Planning Committee for Building Resilience: Los Angeles (launched by USGBC-LA), and the Secretary for the Energy Committee of the Los Angeles chapter of the Living Building Challenge. Sofia serves on the Board of Directors for Few For Change, a non-profit organization providing scholarships for indigenous students pursuing secondary and university education in Panama. Additionally, Sofia has served as a Greenbuild Reviewer.
